Padlet

  Padlet is a platform that allows you to create an online board you can use to add information for any topic. First three boards and the membership is free. It is really easy to use You can also add images, links, videos and more. Padlet can be used to collaborative in collecting ideas. It would be really useful to use with your students. You can make a board about, for example, d tenses to teach them. Then they can freely add comments or give examples to the tenses. You can add some mistakes as well, telling your students to find the mistakes and rewrite them. It would be fun as well as productive.  Now, lets see how to use Padlet. Firstly, you get an account which is free. Then, you will see a page and when you click on "make a padlet" it will give you 6 choices.  For example, I chose Shelf to try out how it works. Second Life

Second Life is a virtual 3D platform where social connection and creation is possible. Everything in Second Life is created by people like us. It pledges, like its name, a real life experience which is said, that platform is like our second life. Because it is an online platform, you can chat with other players and learn from experts which makes this platform more education based. This is my avatar and I am a new user in search for now. I am trying to learn the platform better to be able to use it for education.

Storybird

  Storybird  is a platform for writers, readers, and artists of all ages. Storybird lets you write your own visual story or show your poetry. It also lets you garnish your writings with loads of arts. It is really easy to use. You simply create an account of your own and start with choosing arts and write or... you can just read. After writing your own story, you can get feedback from a community of 9 million readers, writers, and educators.   This is the story I have written if you want to check out.

Pixton

  Pixton  is a cartoon making tool that allows you to create your own comics. It is really easy to use and you don't have to draw your own characters. You can let your students create their own comics and share them with each other. You can create free individual accounts.   Here  is my own comic if you want to check out.

Hot Potatoes

  The  Hot Potatoes  includes six  applications, enabling you to create interactive multiple-choice, short-answer, jumbled-sentence, crossword, matching/ordering and gap-fill exercises for the World Wide Web. Hot Potatoes is freeware, and you may use it for any purpose or project you like. It is not open-source. To use Hot Potatoes, you have to download it to your pc. Then you will see a screen. You choose one of the choices you have. I chose the quiz to understand how this works.  So, you simply get a screen like this one and write your question and their answers with the feedback. Then you save the quiz to your desktop. It is really simple to use,  you just need to download it which takes a really short while.

Canva

    Canva  is personally one of my favorite apps. I use it to create my own wallpapers. I use different words that are lesser known and I am very interested in these kinds of words. It is really simple to use. You choose your own background and simply write your text and choose the font and size. You can use it to create everything you want. I use it on my phone as an application by downloading.

Wordle

Wordle is a tool that lets you create your own word clouds. You simply write the words you want to be seen in your cloud. You can choose the fonts, layouts and colors of your words. I chose a simple black background and blue color scheme for my cloud and saved it. To use Wordle, you have to download it as a desktop version and to download it yoıu can find the link here .

Kahoot

  Kahoot  is a game based learning platform. You simply choose one of the four options you have. I chose Quiz  and created one as an example. After choosing the quiz I prepared some questions.                      After the questions, I just saved the quiz. To apply the quiz in your classroom, you give the code to your students. Then you open the quiz and the students see them on the smart board. And, the students see symbols on their phone which are the options they have. They choose their answers and you can simply see who chose what as an answer.  At the end of the quiz, you see which student made the best process. You can use this as an activity in your class which would raise the students' motivations. 

Blackboard

Blackboard is a learning system that provides businesses and educators the power to reach and teach their employees or learners via a virtual environment. The main purpose of Blackboard is to create online courses for students with no face-to-face meetings. Here you can find a review for Blackboard which I will be analyzing now. Blackboard can be used on all types of smartphones and tablets. The system offers a great collaboration suite to keep learners connected. If you’re an educator, on the other hand, Blackboard will ensure that you have a variety of methods to improve students’ and learners’ engagement and motivate them to use their maximal potential.

Voki

  Voki is a free platform that lets you create your own avatar. It can be used by both teachers and students and it is designed to enhance classroom instruction, class engagement and lesson comprehension. Voki is used by more than 2 million people. It is very simple to be one of them. With just your mouse, you choose your head, hair and clothes. Then you add a voice to your Voki and you can share it through email, twitter, facebook etc. This is my Voki and her name is Rose.

Socrative

  Socrative  is a platform that is designed to help you quiz your students online. Just like Kahoot, you design your own quizzes and save them to your Socrative account. To engage your students, you share your room code and ask them to join it. After that, when you quiz your students you can see the results and each of the reports is saved to your account to be checked again later.  There is also Space Race that is a friendly competition. The students race across the screen with correct answers and with this, you turn the quiz into an enjoyable activity. Also, students can submit feedback to the instructor in this platform which lets you know how good you are doing.  I created an account of my own  and also created a quiz about The Direct Method .

Moodle

   Moodle is an educational platform that can be used by everyone. As it is built globally for learning, you have the chance to choose from more than 120 (and counting) languages. Moodle has more than 90 million users so far and so it is the world's most widely used learning platform. You can download it for free and you use it so too. As it is said to be easy to use, you can experience it by yourself from  here  or you can continue to read...  According to the article "What is Moodle" by Brenda Barron, if you are using Moodle while building an educational site, you would easily find answers to questions like; How will classes be structured?
